The Near Water Concert Series presents The Mowgli’s on June 27th.

If you’re looking for the perfect band to add to your summer mix list, look no further than The Mowgli’s.  This Los Angeles -based band will showcase their contagious collection of songs at the Meyer Theatre on Thursday, June 27th at 8 p.m.

It’s another tremendous booking for the Near Water Concert Series, which has done an extraordinary job at bringing emerging artists to the area.  (A shout-out to curator Tim Perlewitz.)

The Mowgli’s have a knack for mixing a menagerie of music to create their signature California sound.  It’s indie pop, rock, folk and country blended together.

Take the track “San Francisco.”  It will literally make you want to jump out of your seat.  It’s my hope that’s what will happen when the eight-member band visits Green Bay this summer.

The Mowgli’s EP Love’s Not Dead contains that song and is a promise of great things from this up and coming group.  Check it out, it’s available for download on iTunes.  The songs will literally blow your mind and have you craving this upcoming concert.

So, if you’d like to scream, shout and jump around with The Mowgli’s, it’ll only cost you $15 for general admission.  Tickets are available starting at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 9th at all Ticket Star locations.

Also, if you haven’t heard, the Near Water Concert Series is bringing folk rockers Thao & The Get Down Stay Down to Green Bay on Tuesday, July 30th at 7 p.m.  Tickets for that show are already on sale.

And don’t forget to check out Near Water’s FREE one-year anniversary show featuring PHOX, Fort Frances, and Hugh Bob and the Hustle.  That takes place May 23rd at 7:00 p.m.
